JEVERSON CONNECTS WITH ROOTS DURING IMPROMPTU PERFORMANCE IN TRINIDAD

Grenadian artiste JEVERSON recently delivered a memorable and unexpected performance in Trinidad, marking a powerful moment of cultural connection as he continues to expand his reach beyond the shores of Grenada.

Originally visiting the island for a short business trip, Jeverson’s time in Trinidad quickly evolved into a deeply personal and musically enriching experience. During his visit, he connected with legendary calypsonian David Michael Rudder, before attending a live performance at Kafe Blue featuring Sheldon Blackman.

What began as a night of admiration for the art form soon became something more. Encouraged by close friends and supporters in attendance, Jeverson was invited to the stage, where he delivered an impromptu performance that resonated with the audience and added a unique moment to an already powerful show.

“For someone who has always had a deep love for calypso, being in Trinidad, the heartbeat of the genre, and sharing a stage in that space was surreal,” Jeverson shared. “It reminded me how connected we are across the Caribbean through music.”
